Tax filing as an API, not a project

Send Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K data to one REST API and get transmission through IRIS and the IRS's acknowledgements back, without becoming an e-file transmitter.

$0.30per form the IRS accepts

Billed monthly. No fee, no minimum. Sandbox keys before you pay anything.

The sandbox in a minute

  1. Create an account

Choose the API at signup. No card.

  2. Take a sandbox key

From the developer console. It starts sgt_test_.

  3. Send a form

The IRS simulator answers in the production shape. Nothing is transmitted.

What the API gives you

  • 1099 API

Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K by API key: payers, recipients, single forms, bulk files, and corrections to an accepted form, with the status of every form to read back.
  • Save a payer once

A payer saved through the API is referenced by id on every form after it, so the payer block a thousand forms share is written once and cannot be wrong in one of them.
  • Bulk files

Post a CSV file of forms under one payer and track the batch it creates. Built for season-peak workloads where forms are generated, not keyed. A repeated request with the same idempotency key creates nothing twice.
  • Webhooks

HMAC-signed callbacks when the IRS accepts or rejects each 1099 form, with retries and delivery logs. No polling loops in your codebase.
  • Idempotent by header

Send an Idempotency-Key on a create or a bulk file, and a retry inside 24 hours replays the first answer instead of filing a second form.
  • Scoped keys & usage

Keys are hashed at rest, shown once, and scoped per environment. The console shows every form the IRS accepted this month and what it costs.

What we do not do

No IRS TIN matching. No direct state filing. Only Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K. Only tax year 2026. We are rapidly expanding our service.

What that means

No IRS TIN matching. This product does not match a TIN against the IRS's records. The check it runs before you file is structural: a TIN of nine digits and a plausible name control, which catches the transpositions. IRS TIN Matching is a separate IRS e-Services enrollment.

No direct state filing. We never send anything to a state. Where a state this product covers asks for the 1099s as an upload file, we prepare that file and your firm uploads it under its own state account. Where you turn on the IRS's Combined Federal/State Filing program for a payer, the IRS forwards that payer's records to the participating states.

Only Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K. No W-2 and no other 1099 this season.

Only tax year 2026. This season files tax year 2026 forms only. A form for any other year is refused with that sentence.
