The season's steps in order (payers, W-9s, forms, the TIN check, e-file, Copy B and corrections), each against the date it runs to, with what is left for every payer.
Payers and recipients
Save each client business and each contractor once. A saved payer is retyped once, not once per January, and every recipient row shows whether a W-9 is on file.
W-9 collection
Requesting a W-9 emails the contractor a link; the TIN lands encrypted on the recipient record when they certify it. A paper W-9 is recorded too, with its scan kept in the recipient's folder.
CSV import
A CSV import checks every row before anything is created, under a payer you have saved. The rows that pass arrive as drafts, and the rows that need a fix come back as a file to correct and import on its own.
Before you file
A local check that every TIN is nine digits and its name control is plausible, so the transpositions are caught before the IRS sees them. It is a structural check, not IRS TIN matching.
E-file through IRIS
Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K for tax year 2026, transmitted through IRIS. When the IRS rejects a form, you see the rejection it sent (rule number and text) on the form itself.
Running the season
Across many payers and a whole team.
Copy B
Copy B emailed to recipients who consent, or produced for you to print and mail. The contractor is owed their copy whether or not the IRS has answered, so it is its own step.
Corrections, at no charge
A corrected return is addressed to the record the IRS already holds, not to the original form, and it costs nothing.
State upload files
For a state that asks for the 1099s, the file it asks for, prepared for your firm to upload under its own state account. We never send anything to a state ourselves.
Your own system, too
Post the 1099 data from the system that already holds it, through the API, which is a separate product with its own price.
Team & white-label
Roles for owners, reviewers, and preparers, MFA, and per-firm branding: your logo and color on the pages your recipients open.
